Subject: New Campers Needed To Be Placed Thu Nov 08, 2012 12:17 am

Fauna, the leader of the entire camp and who ran everything and built the camp stood in the centre of the arena. "Ladies and gentlemen, we have four new members joining our camp and here is where they shall show us what they got and your cabin leaders will choose if you are good enough to be in their group." She declared and spoke clear and loud. "New comers! You will be paired against another and you shall fight them, you will be given a sword each, a shield, and some armour. We don't leave you unprotected. You are not aiming to kill each other but once the fight goes on for five to ten minutes the time buzzer will beep and you will both stop. Then we'll let the leaders decide." She said to the group of Four standing next to her. "We shall have two rounds, the first round shall be Willow Sheridan and Holly Tackett" People then rushed off to get the armour and suited the two girls up giving them the swords and shields. Then everyone left the ring and the time clicked down from 3 and the starting buzzer sounded.

Willow made her way into the arena and in a flash she was suited up in some armor and given a shield and sword. Everything felt so heavy compared to what she normally wore, and after lifting the sword up a few times she adjusted to the new weight in her hand as she gripped the handle. How she wished right now that she had a bow and arrow or even a knife, she liked the freedom of movement that a small knife gave her. She took the shield and dropped it to the ground, it was just another thing that was in her way. She stared down the other girl for a moment sizing her up and noticed her raven black hair, and her green eyes. She couldn't read her yet, Willow would need to wait another minute or two to catch on to her movements. "Well...I will move first. Might as well." Willow ran forward both of her hand s gripped on the handle holding it lower just above the ground. As she approached the girl she swung upwards with both arms just hoping for a powerful hit.

Holly smirked, crossing her arms and staring intently at her opponent. Willow Sheridan? she thought with a slight sense of humor. Willow and Holly? Did someone plan this or something? Holly's mental distraction was disrupted as the other girl took the first swing, but there was no need to dodge, as she had missed. "Nice to meet you too," she hissed with an edge of sarcasm, spinning her sword in her hand as she put a little hex on it, literally. The sword shrunk to about a third of its size, which would usually be considered a bad thing, but not for Holly. She caught it again, steadied it in her hand, and shot it forward through the air, aiming directly at Willow. As soon as the blade left her hand, Holly took the advantage of a little break when she couldn't have done anything else anyway to look her opponent over. Willow looked about the same age as Holly, maybe a little older or younger, with a vaguely similar hair color, but somehow the two managed to look absolutely nothing alike. Maybe it was the friendly face that the other girl seemed to have compared to Holly's scowl, maybe it was just their eyes, or maybe it was in the way they fought. It didn't matter right now, anyway, so Holly scolded herself for dwelling on it. She didn't even see whether the sword hit or not, but she picked it up from the ground again, where it has returned to normal size. Holly glanced up, hoping to see that her attack had even made a difference and forbidding herself from ever losing focus again.

Willow jumped back after her swing hadn't even hit Holly. It was always frustrating to miss such an easy attack, but it seemed like it was even more frustrating for Willow. She stood up as there was a small break, not even moving away from the blade flew past her and missed. She shifted her grip again on the handle before speaking to the girl. "Lovely weather we're having don't you agree?" She spoke in the same tone Holly had used. Willow ran forward this time the blade right in front of her looking to use her body to ram in the blade.

Holly's eyes widened. She sent a quick hex at the sword in front her her and dodged out of the way as best she could, just in case. It was hard to tell whether or not anything hit her because of the armor, though. She parried forward, twirling her feet, and lunged at Willow with the sword. "Yes... simply divine." Holly smiled sweetly in mockery of the conversation they were having. She glanced at the cabin leaders, wondering what they were thinking of the battle so far.

Willow saw her attack get blocked, it was nice to fight someone who was capable and able to hold their own. She saw as another attack came towards her and she did a barrel roll to try and get out of the way of Holly's attack and moved herself to face the girl's back. She jumped up towards the girl and swung the blade in her general direction. After her attack she planted her feet on the ground and moved her sword into a defensive position awaiting her opponent's next move.

Holly's eyes flickered over the scene in front of her. She arched her back to swerve Willow's move, clanking around in the armor that she thought might be a bit too big. She adjusted her grip on the sword in her hand, planted her feet, and took a step towards the other girl, planting his sword firmly in front of her and propelling her arm out. This isn't too bad... Holly noted. Stupid armor is sort of uncomfortable, though. She retreated a few feet an carefully prepared her next move.

Willow moved her sword up to deflect the attack coming from Holly. She knew that she would have to do something special to wow the judges and she couldn't help but feel she would randomly get thrown into a group without getting anyone to ask her to join them. She wanted to prove them wrong, even if for now they were just voices in the back of her mind telling her she wasn't good enough. She looked up and readied herself to attack as she lunged forwards with the sword. She stomped on the ground causing a bit of dust to fly up and side stepped hopefully distracting her opponent. She placed her foot down and pushed herself towards her target and swung her sword.

Holly shouldered the blow, trying to twist out of the way and make sure that if it did hit, it would be contained. She flicked her fingers along the sword, braced herself, and slammed it forwards, hoping for another hit to Willow. Unfortunately, a cloud of dust swirled across her line of sight, blurring her vision. Holly scowled, enchanting it with just a touch of the magic that was a gift from her dear mother. A clear space appeared in the haze and she grinned, lashing out again to clear the dirt away completely. She contemplated using magic again just for show, but decided against it in favor of saving her energy for the battle.

Willow smiled as the little cloud of dust seemed to do something to her opponent. Not much, but just enough. Willow wasn't fortunate enough to have any sort of magic powers that she could use to enchant things, just the visions that she sometimes got from time to time and that wouldn't help in a fight like this. She jumped back trying to avoid Holly's last attack and then took her sword. She twirled it in her hand a few times before slashing forwards towards the girl. The fight would be over soon, but there really wasn't much more she could do now except see how it all played out.

Holly smiled. She didn't even need to block. The battle was almost over, and Holly wanted this last move to count. She twisted a bit of the essence of her shadow and covered herself in it, not totally invisible but difficult to see and flickering in and out of visibility in different lights. She felt it beginning to take a toll, so Holly didn't waste any time. She stabbed at Willow with the sword and darted away again. Hopefully this would impress at least one of the leaders. Holly didn't mind any of the groups, but she didn't want to be that girl who had to be dumped on the group because nobody picked her. Honestly, it just felt like another step of the battle. She clenched her teeth, fighting the urge to give up, and sustained her shadow for just a few more seconds so it looked more controlled. She raised an eyebrow, placing her hands on her hips. The battle seemed to have come to a close.

The buzzer had sounded and two tall and buff men had came in and pull the two apart. Fauna came back to the centre. "Group leaders, you've see these two lovely ladies fight now take a few minutes to reflect on Willow." She said holding her hand above her head. "Group leaders raise your right hand if you want her in your group and raise your left if not." Fauna said and waited for them to vote.

Austin had watched the two new campers rather intently, while they did not land many hits, it seemed to be because of a high level of skill on both sides, rather than a lack. Fauna asked the leaders for their hands on the first girl, and Austin raised his Right hand unenthusiastically. She seemed to have what it took to be in Dignus, she just needed some work. He could manage that.

Dane sat back after watching the fight intently. First up was the girl Willow. He was impressed by her fighting spirit, but it wasn't exactly what Dolosus was looking for nor would it be a good fit for her either. He saw as Austin raised his right arm and knew that that would be a much better choice for her. He raised his left hand and gave her a few words, "Sorry sweetheart, but your just not what I am looking for."

Skylar had watched the two girls spar before her, she had watched many battles and this one seemed to be the average one. Skylar didn't take interest in this Willow girl too much so after dwelling on it for awhile Skylar finally came to a conclusion and decided to not have Willow be accepted into their group. Skylar raised her left hand and for once she was in agreement with Dane.

Lilah smiled at Willow, running a hand through her hair for a moment as she thought. She shrugged and shook her head, raising her left hand 'no.' "Sorry, honey," she murmured apologetically. "I think it's really nice that you're here and I'd love to be friend or hag out sometimes, but I just wasn't feeling the whole loyal thing. Don't get me wrong, the fighting was great." She patted Willow on the shoulder, her eyes brightening. "I think Dignus will be a great place for you, I really do." Lilah withdrew her hand and went back to stand with the other leaders.

Fauna smiled as she watched all the leaders pick. "Well Willow, I suppose that means you're placed in Dignus." She said with a smile. "Congrats, and I hope you find your new group welcoming." She said and took Willow's hand and raised it. "Ladies and Gentlemen! We have Willow from Dignus!" She shouted and everyone threw their fists up. Fauna snapped her fingers and had someone take care of Willow and get her sorted at Dignus. "Alright group leaders! Now time to say whether or not you'd like to have Holly!" She said excitedly and smiled, "Same rules apply, Right for if you want her, left if you don't."

Dane kept a straight face, he wanted to seems as uninterested in the fights and not give away exactly what he was thinking. But he knew his decision, now he wanted to have some fun beforehand. He started to lift his left hand but then switched to his right hand as he held it above his head. With his left hand he motioned for her to join him. "Come on Doll, you know you want to." Dane grinned as he looked at Holly.

Skylar had looked at Holly for a long time and she was thinking back to her actions, and Sky had almost considered taking Holly in but something was tugging her away from that. So after a few more seconds she raised her left hand. "Sorry, nothing personal." She said calmly then she looked over at Dane as he raised his Right hand and made a flirty comment at Holly. "Ew, Dane. No one wants to even touch that filth that makes up your structure." She said said and sighed, "I almost feel bad enough to change my mind so you don't have to go back to place with that thing over there." She said referring to Dane.

Lilah licked her lips and looked away, feeling a bit awkward. Turning people down made her uncomfortable. “Sorry… I just can’t see you having a good time in Fidelis… honestly, I don’t think you’d enjoy living with us, and I really want you to be happy, okay?” She raised her left hand. Every word coming out of her mouth was true, however fake it would seem if anyone else had said it. That was just Lilah being Lilah. She was always like this. She giggled as Dane put his hand up. "Yay! I'm sure Dolosus will make a perfect fit, or if someone else raises their hand, whoever you pick will be, too!"

Fauna smiled as only one person had decided to take Holly. "Well looks like Dolosus just got their new member!" She said and smiled at Dane. She even knew why Dane picked her but she didn't care as long as nothing happened she was okay. She took Holly's hand and raised it up. "Campers! Holly in the group of Dolosus!" She said and explained what she explained to Willow before. She got someone to come take care of Holly and show her around in the Dolosus area. She grinned "Now! Round two! Chance Rundell and Dominic Zorca!" She said and soon she had two others get them set up in their stuff and she explained the rules and left the ring. The buzzer sounded..

I stand with my arms crossed, a confident grin on my face. Nothing is gonna stop me from kicking some ass, and my opponent better believe it. I watch the girls step out of the arena, and people get all the fighting equipment I need on me. I step out into the center of the arena. I see the guy I'm facing, he looks to be about my age. Maybe a little older. I give him a cocky grin. "Good luck buddy." I swing my sword around a few times before the buzzer rings. When it does, I lunge at him immediately. I take my sword and swing at his arm. But just as Chance looks to see where my attack is aimed, I change the swing to a different angle. "Whoops, I didn't mean to confuse you." I say sarcastically with a laugh.

Chance stood there and he was rather giddy as these lovely nymphs were putting on his armour. They were pretty but he also had ticklish spots they kept managing to hit to make little giggles come out. Then he was given a sword and a shield. He looked at the both of them and then at Dominic. The buzzer sounded off and Chance grinned as he stepped back to dodge the attack. Then he went and dropped his sword and shield. They weren't needed for this, Chance had luck on his side and he grinned. He began to chant something for a bit and then moved around the arena in a circle, circling Dominic but he was doing a dance while chanting. He'd be shuffling, side stepping, stooping down low, jumping back up, and then a little turn and he'd continue. As for luck coming into play it started to rain, his favourite weather, but it only rained in the arena and he kept going until he was right behind Dominic and then he tapped his shoulder and took a swing with his fist trying to punch him in the face.

Chance dodges my attack, and I growl. He then begins some sort of spiritual dance, and I stare at him for a minute. Then I start laughing, really hard. "Dude," I keep laughing. "You gotta teach me those moves." Chance then goes in for a punch, and I try to block it with my hands and push him back. "That dance was a gift to the world sweetheart. It almost brought me to tears. " I swipe my foot by his ankles while I talk to him. It makes Chance fall to the ground, and I'm hoping it inflicts some damage.
